December in Heaven

I am in love with this weather and Waco.  I love love love it here.  I had to get caught up on events with the last few posts.  I can't believe I'm that person that I swore to never be.  Just another thing on the list that I need to appologize for forming an opinion.  Here is somethings we have done.  I love cooking and grocery shopping and I have got Callen to fall asleep in the cart a few times.  Poor guy - his crazy mother can't grocery shop under 1.5 hours!
 We love Cameron Park.
Brynlee is the best helper.  She is so willing to cook and clean with me.  So I decided to dip pretzels and make some candy with her this year.  It was fun!
We love our tree and it is always fun getting our ornaments out that we have been gifted.  Devin's family has a tradition when you get married to have a bridal shower where everyone brings a christmas ornament with a gift.  So all our ornaments have names and dates on them.  I've found an ornament for each kids' first christmas, made an ornament out of a sawed off christmas tree stumps and bells for each place we have ever lived.  Our love our mis-matched tree!
Callen went to his first birthday party.  It was fun to have a date with just him.
I'm so sad this is the only picture I got of the night.  The office party!  It was a serious double elimination tournament of corn haul!  Great food and fun presents.  The office got Devin cowboy boots with imprinted stamps of BYU.  Dr. Thrasher yelled, "What does that stand for .... Yahoo?!"  He always gives us a hard time.  It was fun to catch up with Patty (Dr. Thrasher's wife).  She is the sweetest lady and I always learn a lot about cooking, mothering and travel when I'm with her.  The girls are so sweet and always try to include me.  Everyone was pretty wasted about 4 hours in so we slipped out with some great gift from everyone!  Thank you thank you!
Our Christmas party was so fun and it is so humbling to be apart of seeing the sacrifice that goes into ward parties and relief society service.  Wow, it is such a testimony builder to call everyone and hear, "yes, I'd love to help out - what else can I do."  I know how busy everyone is if it is anything like my schedule and I love how everyone contributes and sacrifices in my church from passing the sacrament to teaching sunday school to bring food for funerals.  That day either Dev or I was at the church from 8 to 8 almost that whole day and there were people there much longer than us put together!  This is Brynlee's friend Betsy.  They kind of look a like and are the same age.  Betsy lives out of town but whenever she comes to Waco to visit her Grandma - she try to have play dates.  They got to wait in line for Santa together.
Brynlee was in heaven when she heard Santa was coming.  She was very pensive and quiet on his lap but made sure to tell him she was good and would please like a kitchen!

Here is how we personalized our office gifts to the girls and kirk!  Idaho potatoes from Walmart!
Merry Christmas.  We can't wait for the Gneitings to get here tonight!
