We had a fun Halloween. Callen was 75 percent aware of what was going on! We had a preschool party that we went to at the Baptist Church were Brynlee goes. They had a fire truck and helicopter that Callen was in love with. He got the hang of the trick or treating thing quickly - they always do! He thought that as long as you said trick or treat you could get as many as you wanted whenever. So he would say it after he grabbed the candy. Brynlee was very polite and sweet and enjoyed watching Callen as they help hands to different cars. We had a ward church truck or treat with a dance. It was really fun. I usually sit and hand out the candy while Dev takes the kids around. I finally had a trunk to decorate this year! We carved the pumpkins we got at the patch. Finally learned our lesson to only carve one cause the kids last 4 mins anyways. I did a small choo choo train and Dev did a cat with Brynlee. I'm not proud of our costumes this year but whatever. Dev was Gaston, I was the feather duster, Callen was the beast and Brynlee was Belle.
I started my witch party tradition I have wanted to do for a while. I loved the Texas parties. The girls got really into it was personalized hats and huge makeup. I had a table for wagering candy, and prizes for a trivia, costume and food. They also picked out their witch names. Brynlee helped me a lot with the party and was so excited to see everyone come and have fun that she fell asleep outside her door watching us. Next year I want to make it an open invitation and a few things different, but it was sure fun! Thanks to Dev for helping so much and being awesome, as usual.
