I haven't updated on the kids for awhile. They have a lot of cute quotes they have said this year and mannerisms that I don't want to forget!
Brynlee:
- "Mom this girl in my class doesn't believe in Jesus cause she said B-U-T-T!"
- "Mom I think I worked so hard that instead of food coming out of my private, it came out of my face!"
Teddy:
-Teddy loves sitting by me and every time we read a book he grabs my arm and forces it over and around him so we are closer together!
- When Teddy lost his shark he was really attached to his shark that came with his bedding and now it is a reindeer that his teacher gave him.
- "Mom I was so good on the wakeboard out there that my teeth are punching each other!" His teeth were chattering.
- I told Teddy that there wasn't a monster truck show for Teddy's birthday and he aske me if I checked Bluetooth because there's a lot of tickets in that.
- We were showing the kids old picture of ancestors and Teddy asked where they lived that was all black and white!
- Teddy's teacher one day told me that she LOVED his prayers. So I started paying close attention and realized what she was saying. That night here was his prayer. " Thank you for everybody who goes into space. Thank you for everybody who goes underwater and find sharks. Thank you for everybody in the universe. Thank you for everybody that I like. Amen." Then looks at me after his prayer and said, "wasn't that awesome mom?!"
- "Mom how about instead of waving at people int he car you just put your windshield wipers on and everyone will know you're waving at them?"
- Every time Teddy's nose runs he yells out, "mom, my nose isn't working again!"
- "Dear Heavenly Father I tried really hard not to kick Brynlee today and I only did it once. Amen."
Jaxon:
-Whenever Jaxon is sad or frustrated he smacks his forehead
-When he use to drink bottles his little hand would always end up rubbing his forehead.
- Jaxon was obsessed with his monkey but when we lost it he is now pretty attached to his puppy.
- People can usually pick up about 50% of what he is saying but the family can usually get 99%!
- Just for the record I was it noted that Jaxon has gone through 3 mattresses in crib. Brynlee and Teddy both made it through the same mattress and Bubba jumped holes in it in a month and then we had to replace it again 2 more times. He holds on to the railing and jumps his bum higher than his head but still hasn't figured out how to get out!
- Love that every time I wake Jaxon up he stretches so big. Every baby has done this and it's so cute. But the minute Jaxon has come to - he darts and is going 100%. Jaxon also immediately smiles with the biggest smile the minute he sees you come in the door to get him out of bed.
-Jaxon forces bottles to his face like you putting it in his mouth won't be fast enough.
- He has an old man laugh that is so contagious.
- Every time he runs out of his room from sleeping he yells (he has two volumes loud and louder) "I git out o bed!"
-Keenk YU = Thank you
-Wa wa = water
Fall Ya'll
Krista Pettigill and I started a charity bunko night. We are really enjoying it! It's about 4 times a year and we choose different charities that all the participants donate in. It's been really fun and fulfilling. Jaxon has really loved his preschool. I've been surprised how quickly he adjusted to the social aspect of it. Every time we drive by the school he yells out, "bubba's school!" I really missed him Tues and Thurs from 9 to 2 but I sure got a lot done for work.
The young women are so fun and full of live! We had our back to school dinner and it was such a great night with sparklers and good food! I was released in November because Devin was called as YM president and called into Primary as the pianist. I will seriously miss it.
Sweet Brynlee tried out for student council with a poster that said "Don't BLOW it and vote for Brynlee for Student Council. She had a cute speech and it still couldn't convince her class to vote for her. Two boys won that didn't even have a speech really but the principle of the school nominated her to enter student council as her special nominee. Brynlee came home proud of herself and not defeated when she lost but came home so elated when she made it the next day! She has had so much fun going to the meetings and planning and preparing for events.
Devin went on a hunt to New Mexico with Kevin Bowcut for Elk. It left us home without dad and we tried to have fun. We are glad he had fun and got an Elk! The meat has been so good and much much better than Venison. It's an 8 point and looks awesome in the office!
Here is another smiling picture of Jaxon because that is basically what he does non stop!
We went to a Georgetown football game and had a blast. It's always so amazing how many people go to these friday night lights and the quality of football and band! They usually have fireworks and smoke and the kids can run through before the players! Brynlee ran off with a friend which left me with sweet Teddy during the game! I love sitting by him although I couldn't answer any of his football questions! Good thing Devin was there.
Houston, wow, where to start. There was a horrible hurricane with torrential down pour. The church cancelled all meetings, sacrament and activities for 3 weeks and asked saints to go down and help with the clean up effort. Devin went first and he came back exhausted. I didn't know what to expect but the next weekend we switched and I went down. Devin mentioned one of the hardest part was sleeping on the highschool gym after a day of hard work. It was nice of the school and do able but mentioned maybe I could get a hotel. So I made a party of it and invited Dana Willard and Kristin Winegar. It was so fun to hang out with them. I was asked to be team leader of 15 people. We went to 3 homes during the 48 hours and went in, emptied the homes of everything, cut sheet rock 1 foot above the mold and threw EVERYTHING outside. The first home was just clearing it out, second home was about 4 feet up of sheet rock and the whole kitchen and bathrooms and the last was all the way to the ceiling. It smelled so bad. The last home woke up to water in their ears and ran to the roof. The second home had closed on that home the day before the hurricane. It was so humbling to drive down the neighborhoods and see everyone's entire house/all earthly pocessions on the curb with 20 foot high piles on both sides. It was cool to see a bunch of yellow LDS helping hands shirts everywhere and to go to a sacrament in yellow shirts with hundred of other volunteers. They said that 10k plus saints had come every weekend. It was a cool experience that I'll never forget.
Teddy thought it would be funny to cut his own hair! And we had a fun FHE letting some balloons go in the air and playing log rolling on the tramp!

First Week of School
We got home a weekend before school started and I had to post my nailed it picture. Instead of a facy back to school dinner I ordered pizza! I felt so frazzeled getting everything ready for school that I bagged it and we had a fun pizza night!!!! Brynlee was thrilled to have her best friend Mabry in her class! She got Mrs. Jansson as her home teacher and her sister teach is Mrs. Carraway who is the other ward's primary teacher! They are so easy going and sweet and I'm excited for that fit. The kids always become like their teacher from spending so many hours together. Brynlee wasn't nervous at all and so excited for her new clothes and to see all her friends! Teddy on the other hand was nervous! He was starting kindergarten and was happy to have an older sister to walk into school with and show him around. We went to the meet the teacher night and he was ver polite and quiet so I was excited for him to meet a friend and find himself. 3 year old was rough on him with a mean boy in his class. Then preschool he had such a good year and really grew. I really wanted that social growth to continue and for him to find good friends. He has Mrs. Derringer who is excellent and has been doing it for 20 years. Good news was he has 4 other LDS girls in his class, Bad news is that there wer 12 girls and only 7 boys in his class. After he got his gitters on the first day is was SO EXCITED to go back and hasn't looked back since! He had his outfit layed out for days before school started. We decided to send Jaxon to school for a sememster of Joy School so I could continue to help Devin with the website and second office. He loved it and it was really good for him mentally but the kid is already so social and my responsibilities started to fizzle out so we pulled him from school in Dec and he is home with me now. I missed him and he is so fun at home. It's nice to soak that up again! I threw in a picture of Devin too! He was so excited to go to basketball in his new BYU jersey signed by Braiden!
Aspen Grove 2017
It doesn't get better than Aspen Grove! Seriously. Everyone loves it!
Julie did her famous raspberry shakes and oreos for everyone. We threw an epic minute to win it birthday party for Julie who had a birthday right during the reunion. Grandpa Walters was so sweet and generous to all the grandkids in a heart felt discussion with them.
Devin and I hiked the Tetons and honestly I'm totally surprised I made it. By the last half mile I was seriously questioning if my knees would ever work again. It was tough but totally worth it and fun to do with Devin. We also loved our volleyball games. There are some pretty in tense and fun games that were played!
The Gneitings played in the talent show on the piano and Brynlee and Teddy instantly took to Jen and Eric's kids the whole time! It was fun to see them so entertained the whole time!
