We had a great Valentine's Day! If you ever want to laugh, sit in on the sunbeam's class or just attend my branch.
I have been reading a good book lately called Life Balance (thanks mom!). It has been an eye opener as far as my priorities and time management go. Do you think you should specialize and be the best at a few things in life or should you be able to do a little bit of everything? My high-school friend mentioned something in her blog about sugar-coating your blog. I agree with her. I have posted only the good in my life on this blog. Mainly because that is what I want to remember and share with those I love. But everyone goes through hard times . . . times when your house is a mess, your child is crying all day and your outfit is going to scare your husband when he comes home. Well, It's been a hard week, longest in a long time actually but, what do I want to remember out of this week? Here are the my thoughts and the lessons I NEED to remember.
I really feel that if you are feeling down it can be tagged back to one of 2 things. Either your priorities and time management are not balanced or you are focusing on yourself and not others (both in my case). I get caught with these weaknesses every time I turn to the Lord complaining. This week, was no exception! I have a lot to learn when it comes to faith and constancy! I will be glad when this busy but exciting week is over!
Note to self: BE CONSISTENT, re-evaluate your life often. . . keep trying to learn the lesson before complaining. And stop "forgetting" to wash your face!
PS It is STILL snowing!

Cute picture and great words of advice. and yes, everyone goes through hard times. everyone but Luke and me. our blog is always so happy because only happy things happen to us! :)
At this time, I would also like to comment on your comment on my blog. Sooooo funny! It probably IS the conversation hearts! Just last night I was at a girls house and we were playing games. You know me and games, I usually get hyper, laugh ridiculously hard at things that aren't that funny etc. One of the girls said, "Marissa, what did you eat today!?" My answer: "conversation hearts!" Freak, those things are making me hyper and they are making stingrays jump out of the water! I think they might need to recalled-they're dangerous!
Sugar-coating definitely happends. I know only the good things are posted on my blog :). If we wrote about all the sad/bad things, we'd be crying all the time--while writing our own blogs and then while reading everyone else's! I've also come to terms with the fact that sometimes I don't "forget" to wash my face; I just dont' do it hahah.
I am so thinking about you today!! I hope everything is going well when I hear from you again. Life is totally hard sometimes...and January doesn't make it easier...or February when it's snowing as much as it is there. Why do you think my blog has been so sparse lately...nothing new or "happy" to report. Not that my life is bad right now, just not that exciting. And sometimes that's just the way life is. Sometimes you don't get ready all day because you have no reason to. And that's ok. Especially when you have a lot of new things on your plate. I hope you call me soon! Love ya!
Nicole, I am sorry to hear you have been having a hard week. I have had lots of those and sometimes they are just what I need to refocus! I was thinking about the question you wrote about whether you should do a little bit of everything or focus on a few important things - and I vote for focusing on a few things that you really love. I feel like I am still trying to get myself to do that (which means making myself say NO to things more often), but I enjoy life more if I am not spread too thin. Anyway, let me know if you need anything and hope things get better soon!
thankyou! so refreshing. I've been doing some major re-evaluating lately, hopefully i will be back to blog about it soon :)
Nichole you kill me. I was laughing really hard when you said your outfits scare your husband. THat is like every day for me!! I miss and love ya!
