I got these ladies removed this week. Do you know how often your child hits you in the ear! It's ridiculous and these tumors were so annoying! The doctors said that they didn't look or feel right. They were located right by my facial nerve and made my doctor a little nervous. He didn't hit the nerve in the procedure which is such a blessing but I might have lost a little temporary feeling on half of my face and permanent on my ear lobe. Which I keep saying is fine . . . I can just wear bigger earrings now!! Everything should resume though in a few weeks.
They had to make a large incision to make sure they didn't hit the nerve. The surgery took forever at five freakin thirty in the morning (8 hours)! And this drain is really annoying! Please excuse the hair!!!!
In summary, everything went well. Recovery is taking a little longer than I thought it would be (I missed my cake class and I'm serious when I say I almost cried about it!) but we are fine! Thanks for all of your prayers, sweet thoughts, texts and calls!
Here is a video of Brynlee. We have switched formula and food on her and she is teething . . . so sometimes she throws these fits when she isn't feeling well that is hilarious! When she is on her back she kicks one leg over and over and when she is on her stomache she high-centers on her chest. It's hilarious. Sorry for the camera lady, she struggles sometimes!

Oh my goodness Nicole! I had no idea. I'm so glad your surgery is over. I can't believe it took 8 hours! I hope you get feeling better quickly. That looks like NO FUN!

Oh I'm so glad everything went well!!! Yeay! And that scar isn't nearly as long or bad as they said it would be. It must be such a relief. 8 hours is a pretty big deal, so of course it's going to take you a while to recover!! It sounds like you're doing well, though. I'm so glad. Brynlee's so cute...it just seems like little girls have more attitude from the very beginning! haha! Keep us updated! Love you.
Nicole! Why did I not know this!? I hope things are well and that you are being taken care of at home. I wish I could be there to help watch Brynlee or something. Rest up and I hope everything gets better.

we are all so glad that it went well, 8 hours is way too long! But yes bigger earings are a plus! Can you tell my BFF that she throws the funniest/cutest fits ever! :) That was way too funny!
So sorry to hear about your surgery! That incision looks painful...I hope you heal quickly! Brynlee is hilarious...I've never seen a baby do that before! Who knew a fit could be so funny?!
Yikes Nicole!! That is very scary. I hope everything turns out okay. And an 8 hours surgery?! Shoot me now. I hope you are feeling better and getting some pampering in. Brynlee is such a cutie. Ellie is still toothless - which I'm not complaining about :) Hope you feel better soon!

I know I should've commented earlier, but haven't been good about keeping up with blogs lately. I didn't realize that the recovery was messing so much with your self-confidence. You've been such a trooper and still seem like you've got it all together girl. The video of Brynlee was hilarious! Let me know if I can help in any way, and don't feel ashamed/afraid to ask. That's what friends are best at, right?
