-floaties in your drinking water for as long as you will be changing diapers.
-unbelieveable smells coming from the back-side of your child
-your child yelling they have to pee or poop in every public place you can imagine.
-body falls in the opposite direction as before - no futher explanation needed.
-your child is unbelievably more hilarious than your husband - and I think Dev has the best sense of humor! I'm not talking smiling - we are now full out laughing at what she is coming up with!
-a messy car that just screams - I'm a mom and don't have enough time!
-vacuming ALL THE TIME!
-the most awkard/graceful/cringing falls that somehow slows your fastest instincts.
Funniest part is that you will swear this will never be you before you have kids!
I guess my list can go on but that is not what this post is about. You can go ahead and ignore from here on out. I always thought that the blogs that documented every single aspect of a child's life was funny to me. Once again - I have put my foot in my mouth. I swear I had the most opinionated goals in life that have totally changed now that I have a child and am expecting the second. Maybe I should stop forming opinions. No. But I do have a goal to stop tasting foot. Anyways I tried to look back on the blog and my journal to somehow figure out how my first pregnancy went and guess what - nothing. I tried not to talk about kids (opinonated childless mother) when I was pregnant and tried to be positive in my journal. So I had to do some serious searching so figure out brynlee's pregnancy. I'm docmenting it now so I can look back on future pregnancies.
Side Note- my mom informed me that how morning sick pregnant women hate non-morning sick "I love being pregnant" pregnant women is the same way bigger people hate skinny people. Never thought of it like that.
Baby #1:
-had the whatever happens attitude
Week 1-7 = No idea I'm pregnant cause I didn't have a period for the last 9 months
Week 8 = started throwing up every morning at 8 am on the way to work (8:30 am) - still had energy.
Week 9-20 = ate crackers, bananas, oatmeal and water and would throw up 1-3 times a day in the mornings and was just sick for the rest of the day. Car rides were horrible and usually made best friends with the stop sign right by the church. Didn't go to church for at least 2 months. Stayed in a dark room and in bed for those 2 months. Tried every medicine out there and nothing worked.
Week 18 = flew home and still threw up every day till about
-20.5 weeks =One day I woke up and I didn't throw up. Still a little queezy but a week later I got my energy back and had gained 3 lbs.
-week 22 = officially in the clear and started to notice there was a horrible taste in my mouth and food still didn't taste very good
-week 30 = gained 25 lbs total and started waking up at least 3 times a night and getting heart burn. I was also walking to work 2 miles every day
-week 35 = started cramping and would need a breather to work
-week 39 = quit work and had gained 42 lbs total. I still fit in my old jeans with the button undone and a belly band. I just had a giant basketball in front. No stretch marks.
- week 40/due date = dialated to a 3 and 70% effaced and got 3 small stretch marks. Stripped membrane - nothing
-born 1 day late. Went into hospital at 4 and 80% effaces. Enduced - nothing happened. Broke water and started pain. Epidural didn't work hour later - I started pushing. Epidural kicked in and pushed for 40 minutes. Born 8 lbs 6 oz.
-First night in hospital was horrible (anxiety and didn't want anyone holding B) but the food taste amazing- no bad taste in mouth anymore.
Baby #2 - completely different
-We have tried for months and I wanted a child really bad.
-Week 4 =I started getting waves of nausea but the test results were negative and it was too early to tell (I knew I was pregnant though)
-Week 5 = positive test and elated! Gained 2 lbs.
-Week 6-10 = nausea waves increased. Nights are the worst - I went to bed just to get out of my misery around 8-9 pm. Good days I lay on the couch and try to play with Brynlee/watch tv and bad days I layed in bed with crackers hoping she wasn't getting into anything (bad I know). Narrowed things that I could eat to cream of wheat, baked potatoes and fruit. Never threw up credit the fact that zofran (generic) is working this time around. I have every symptom in the book from heart burn with anything semi-spicy food, painful gas with anything semi-fatty foods, horrible constipation, sleepless nights waking up 3-5 times a night to pee and eat a meal each time, no energy, emotional, lack of motivation, horrible taste in mouth. I figured out cough drops help me not throw up/gag. Gained 11 lbs total - yikes.
-Week 11 = had horrible migraines
-Week 16 = a good day or two but still lost a breakfast
-Week 17 = nausea starts lightening up it's about 50% either a great day with motivation or no motivation and on the couch
-Week 18 = feeling great! Had a few scares of loosing food randomly without feeling nausea but I'd take a pill and the feeling goes away. We found out the sex - boy. This boy moves a lot more than Brynlee more times in the day. Still have a horrible taste in mouth and some headaches. Starting to eat a lot more but lost weight so far for the last 6 weeks.
-Week 24 = still feeling amazing. Moments of nausea that will go away after I take zofran. Starting to gain weight and I popped out this week.
-Week 28 = heart burn has started when my head isn't directly above my stomache. Severe gas with anything greesey. I have gained 20+ lbs now and am starting to fill out to the sides. My elbows brush my sides now when walking. Still not very emotional but starting to get pretty tired by the end of the day.
I am promising myself that I will come back and update this blog for the future. I wish I had pictures every month like I used to make fun of but oh well.
