First off I can't say enough how much Pittsburgh has brought Dev and I together. We couldn't ask for better friends but we just love hanging out together now. We have found so many fun activities and places that we both enjoy. Maybe it was the 33 hours of driving over here together or realizing we don't have anyone but each other in life threatening sitations. And let's just say that my pregnancies are getting harder and harder on us even though some of the symptoms are lightening up. We knew we really wanted to get away this weekend and finally have some fun!
So we went camping! We were blessed with incredible weather. And went to the beach the first day.
Brynlee's face describes about how happy she was to stop playing for some pictures.
We went on a bike ride and found the coolest play ground in the middle of the forest!
This camping trip was much better. Brynlee discovered bugs bit and fire is hot and that decreased the chasing and running around by 100%.
We stayed 2 nights this time. 1 night just doesn't make it worth it to haul all the baby stuff, food supplies and the clean up after! The second day we went to go find the "healing" mineral springs. They were found and believed to have special healing powers. In the early 1800's they built a spa and used the water making a bed and breakfast place for customers.
Here are some pictures from the hike to the springs.
On the hike back Brynlee figured out it's pointless to try and hike down the path of bumpy rocks when you can just walk down in the shallow, cool stream. She was soaked at the end.
Brynlee went to the dental school for her cleaning. She did great (slight hysteria when the chair started to move - but all giggles besides that) and I'm sure it's because of all the bracelets, glasses and lip stick she got!
We took Brynlee to South side to get a little wet in the sprinklers and today we went to the Splash Park! It is really hard to get a decent picture with little kids! 9 out of 10 of my pictures of Brynlee right now and usually blurry! Oh and the chances of getting her and every friend in the picture are even slimmer. No offense if I'm not documenting all her cute little buddis at certain places!
I'm 16 weeks pregnant and starting to get my motivation back. We were worried there that I woldn't snap out of it - EVER! But I got out all my to-do lists and man, do I have a lot to do before this kid gets here. I'm starting to wonder what we got ourselves into. Any advice for transitioning to the second child?! We find out in less than a week the sex!

That magic water must have really worked! You HAVE to be feeling better to be doing so much! That's awesome! How cool to go to a place like that! I love old places like that. Wish I could have gone with ya! And to go to the beach while camping...that is so fun. Love the splash park, too. I need to go to the one around here.
This is your mother! I love seeing all of your pictures. You do so well at keeping me up-to-date and informed. I can tell Brynlee is missing me. I love you.
