Fun Firsts

Brynlee has taken some firsts lately.  They are so fun!  I wanted to make sure I blog them for grandparents and myself for future reference.

-She can repeat 4+ worded sentences.
-Her prayers at night are getting more and more fun and cute.  She still repeats but it is making more and more sense
-She loves loves to have her tummy tickled before bed.  She says "prers, prers, prers" till we say prayers.  Then she says, "belly, belly, belly," till I ticker her tummy or arm or leg.  Then she chants song and sometimes before the final note of a song (she knows them well) she holds up one finger and says: "Wha more, wha more!"  If I ask her what song she wants, every time she says: "teemple." (I love to see the temple)
-She had about a 5 minute conversation on the phone the other day with grandma.  She can finally talk on the phone but that consists of saying the last word or noun of whatever the other person says unless she disagrees - then it's no...
Grandma: Did you have fun?
Brynlee: fun.
Grandma: Did you play with your baby?
Brynlee: baby
Grandma: Is your baby your favorite toy?
Brynlee: No.
Grandma: Is Gerdy your favorite toy?
Brynlee Gerdy.
Etc.

-We put her in a big girl bed and we pushed it a little early (22 months) so she would give up her 3 hour naps.  We have found her asleep on the rocking chair, under her kitchen, and against the door.  But 80% of the time she is in bed.  I guess she'll figure it out.  If she isn't that tired it usually takes taking away 2-3 stuffed animals one at a time (Gerdy saved for last) until she cries enough and stays in bed and goes to sleep.  But she has started the "if I close my eyes then I'm asleep" phase.  I can hear downstairs the minute her little pitter patter feet start walking around.  So every time I go up there and find her playing in something.  When she looks up and sees me walking in she usually just sits up and closes her eyes mid action.  :)   Cause if her eyes are closed she is asleep and I woke get mad about there being diapers all over the room and then I won't take Gerdy!  But when I say "Brynleeeeeeeee."  She will run back to bed but still with her eyes 95% closed cause she is still asleep walking around!  Then clunks into bed and is still closing her eyes cause she is still asleep praying I won't take Gerdy!  It's hilarious! Sometimes she gets a cookie if she stays in bed and goes to sleep well.
-Everytime the buzzer on the oven goes off Brynlee starts yelling, "cookies, cookies, cookies!"  I swear I don't make them that much!
-Everytime we pass a Mcdonals Brynlee yells, "frinch fies, frinch fies, frinch fies!"  And I'm mean we will be 5 miles away from a Mcdonald sign and she will see it and chant for 5 minutes till it's out of site.  I swear I don't take her to Mcdonalds a ton either!
-Swimming has some how turned into "wee wee."  Which can be very embarrassing and hilarious.  We were at a splash park and she ran over to me yelling in front of a bunch of people, "mom, wee wee cold. Mom, wee wee cold!"
-She has started pushing boundaries and has a hard time sharing and pushes but oddly it's only to about 3 of the 8 kids she plays with and they are usually girls around her age.  Not good but I'm working as hard as I can on it.  I'm doing everything in my power not to yell and usually do pretty good.
-We are day 3 of semi-pody training.  It's semi cause I'm not going all in.  I'm in no rush but she is so interested I can't say no.  If she asks then I'll taker her.  If she pees she gets a juice box (we never get juice) and M&M's and gets to wear her "mini wear," (Mini Mouse underwear) for about 10 minutes.  If she poops she gets all the above and to pick out a new toy.  I got a little pody cause she was toilet shy and I had to hold her on the big pody.  She has pooped and peed at least 10+ times.  She is doing good but it's still semi.  Again, I cleaned up a mess, she is doing great now and I'm in no rush!  We'll see how things go!
-We try to read books everyday but it usually ends up about 30 minutes of reading every other day.  Not ideal but I'm trying.  But she is getting better at holding still for the whole story.  Still in board books.
-She is pretty big.  She is wearing 3T and size 8 shoes.  And I think she is almost ready for 4T.  Definitely by the end of the summer.
