This post makes me look like a psycho but I want to remember how psycho I really was in the last little bit of pregnancy.
I told Dev last night that it's time to calm down! I have checked up off enough items that now it's time to relax and just enjoy Brynlee! We have been busy with little things lately. But the overall theme - Baby Teddy!
Brynlee:
Because of lack of space and resources we moved Brynlee into the office with her toys and without anything babyproofed. I have to say that keeping the door open at nights has been just as big a deal as putting her in a big girl bed! Why go to sleep when you are surrounded by toys and can open the door whenever you want and run and wake mom and dad up! Well, slowly but surely we have her back on a consistent schedule and pretty well trained in the office. We haven't had an accident in a week! YEAH! And I put my pull-ups away a week ago so that includes 12 hour nights and any errand runs! I'm so proud of Brynlee and her progress. We have tried hard to talk a lot about baby Teddy. We went to a class together this week.
Can you tell she is so excited and had a blast!! Finally put her hair in pig tails!
It was a sibling class at the hospital. They gave them a hospital tour, gave them snacks, taught them how to change a diaper, burp, feed and calm a baby. They read stories about breast feeding, colored a birthday card for the new baby and Brynlee was in heaven the whole time. What 2 year old girl wouldn't like changing your doll's diaper for an hour! They gave me some great ideas of how to introduce a baby and how to smooth over problems that are bound to come up.
Brynlee has been so funny lately. She told me my dinner was gross the other day (she hates potatoes) but I attribute it to her prayer. All she prayed for that meal was Cat in the Hat and Skittles. Her night time prayers are hilarious. She loves to pray for her beautiful dresses and mom's ponytail (apparently I wear a pony tail a little too much if she can do that every night), she prayed for President Monson and his motorcycle? What? Anyways I put up a picture without the glass at eye heighth for her with President Monson in the frame. Whenever she wakes up she will go get the picture, take it to her bed, just look at him and talk to him for a few minutes. They talk about dolls and chocolate and pody and cereal. Just about anything. It has been so cute. I put a picture of Jesus over President Monson and she asked "where is Presiden Monson?" for like a week! I can't for the life of me figure out how to teach her her colors though.
Me:
As far as check-lists and nesting goes - I have been out of control. It's hard having a baby in the holidays, I feel like I have to prepare for all of them now. But we have our Halloween costumes and Thanksgiving and Christmas costumes done. I have most of my Christmas and anniversary gifts boughten. I washed, cleaned and organized all the baby stuff and put it into the nursery. This includes a nursing basket I made for Brynlee while I can't pay attention to her, baby teddy's gift to her, Dev's hospital gifts, finishing all my baby blankets (they are really ugly - but he's a boy and doesn't care!) and ... the dreaded diaper bag. I know I said I would never do it again - but I did and now I will never make this thing again! I wouldn't do it for 400$ - I'm seriously! But I am pretty proud of my upgrades on this one. I did insulated zipper pockets on the side that holds 4 total big bottles. Multiple zipper pockets inside with a mesh pocket for Brynlee's food and water. I finally figured out how to interface the best but my poor poor sewing machine. I also usually call my mom on average about 10 times a diaper bag. Thanks mom!
Pregnancy Progress:
Everyday I'm getting more and more side effects of pregnancy. I've been waking up at night for months but I still felt like I was rested. Now I don't - I think it will be months until I finally feel rested at nights. Ligaments and bones are aching. I'm more emotional this pregnancy and a little bigger. I am very very impatient with Brynlee. I found the ONLY thing that helps me not yell is reading my scriptures. My pregnancy garments don't fit anymore. No food tastes good and I'm starting to get more and more nauseaus. I am way more active this pregnancy but it makes the evenings harder. Mentally I'm excited for a newborn. I feel emotionally, mentally and physically ready now. It's amazing how the last few weeks can do that to you! Also, getting so many cute little man clothes helps you get excited too!
I feel so grateful for the amazing family and friends that I have that have been so generous in helping me get ready for baby Teddy!!! Thank you so much.

So I am cracking up that everyone including baby theo got updates but Devin!!! :) you might need to do another post all about him ha! I can't believe how productive you are during pregnancy-I just sat around and ate Guidos Pizza! Way to go! Brynlee is hillarious and that baby boy blessing outfit is so cute!
You make me feel like a couch potato!! Seriously! Way to go!! I think that older sibling class was such a cute idea! Please tell me what they said about dealing with the issues that are bound to happen!! I'd love to hear what they said. Hopefully our transition to the big boy room will go as smoothly as your's seems to have gone. :)
Three things... 1. I really like your new blog template and heading. So simple but so cute. I want just a plain background like yours so I don't feel like I have to change it every time I get sick of it. What template did you use and how did you do your heading? I seriously need a step by step tutorial on how to do headings on blogs. I struggle. 2. It took me till the end of your post to figure out who Baby Teddy was!! I thought it was some stuffed animal or something. Haha. Is that what you're naming your little boy or is that just what you are calling him for now? 3. After seeing your cute diaper bag I decided I want you to make me one. Will $400 cut it?? :)
Wow! When I have a baby will you fly to AZ and help me get ready for it. I didn't know you could put so much thought and time into a baby's arrival. Way to go! Looks like all you need now is the baby :)
Does Brynlee seriously sleep 12 hrs without wetting the bed? Can you give me tips on what you do to accomplish that? Story finally understood she needs to tell me she is pooing before the poo starts to come out. knock on wood, but I think she is finally poo potty trained. Took her a lot longer than pee. I use pull-ups at nite. Is Teddy the name you decided on? It's cute. After Dev, right?
Um okay. You, my dear, are pregnancy SUPER WOMAN! I cannot believe all that you've done. It's pretty incredible. You are definitely on top of things and I am sure that will help ease the transition to two children! Best of luck...can't wait to see Baby Teddy!
Amazing, Nicole! You are inspiring! Did you decide on a name for sure?
Nicole - you are so way over the top! I get the Halloween costumes but what is a Thanksgiving and Christmas costume? Is there a tradition that I have missed? Julie
