We found the actual Baylor Bears! Baylor voted to have actual bears as their mascot. Rumor has it they are the most spoiled bears in the world. They take walks around campus and have an unbelievable cage! I love biking around Baylor. It is so beautiful.
We went to the Heart of Texas Fair parade. It was pretty fun and Brynlee got a ton of candy! There was only one tractor in the parade but lots of "whoopties" or "donks" and horses. Brynlee loves and gets a lot of attention for her cowgirl boots. She sure looks cute in them and fits right in. I love that all the kids and men say yes mam here. It is so polite and although I can't get myself to say ya'll yet, I am sure going to teach my kids to say mam and sir. Another Texas cultural difference that I love is fashion! They are all about the bling here and I"m loving it! Callen popped through 4 teeth this week - finally! He is so cute waving and saying Bye and Hi. We think he said hi dad but not sure. I think he has signed all done but not sure on that one too. I can not get him to tell me when we is hungry. He is throwing the biggest fits. Callen will fall backwards slamming his head on whatever is in the way! Then he proceeds to kick his feet so much he starts dancing the worm. It's funny but frustrating. I think everything would be solved if we can learn to communicate! Thank goodness that big round of teething is gone. He is such a sweet boy - it is sad to see him in pain/ear infections/crying/tired all the time. He is still far from walking but growing so fast. And is so different from Brynlee. More chill but when he looses it he is much worse that Brynlee was - definitely more impatient.
We feel so out of place here in our cars. The office thinks Dev is a city slicker. I think it is because he doesn't own cow boy boots and drives a car. EVERYONE has a truck or suv here! This was the fair parking lot!
They had the best petting zoo I've ever see! And we had it all to ourselves!
"Mom, stop giving me squish hugs!"
She clings to Dev when he is home from work. She really misses him during the day. She yells out in the night for him, cries for him everytime she gets in trouble and has to sit by him every night for dinner. They are buddies. Brynlee has been really hard lately - throwing some pretty big fits. I'm struggling to find the parenting that fits for me. Once again I am humbled and so embarrassed that I ever thought I could do a better job than someone else. Learned again to never never judge. I only have sweet feelings to any mother and her struggles now. Hopefully I won't ruin my kids. Why do 2 kids feel like so much right now?
This is what happens when you don't pay attention during bath time! Almost over-flowed! She was in heaven!
I've been working really hard at my calling in my church. In my church you volenteer a lot of time and service to whatever the bishop calls you to do. You don't get paid and everyone helps out in different ways. I help organize activities for the ladies in the ward that are 18 yr and older. Our Oct activity is the theme survivor (the reality show). We are rotating to 4 different islands of games. The winners can give immunity to any RS activity they want to do for next year. Then we'll do tribal counsel where everyone can vote off 2 RS activities they don't want to do next year.

Brynlee's hair is getting longer and sometimes she has crazy hair. It is usually so beautiful and easy to make look good. But it's also easy to make it look crazy too - with a little big of outside fun!
Nothing like a little taste soot from the fire! Our neighbors are moving and I couldn't be more sad. We have swapped for alone time once a week and babysitting for dates and doc apts. They are really fun and our kids are the same age. I am so happy for them but pretty bummed. Callen will miss their fire place. And Brynlee is really going to miss Aveyn.
We are so excited for Uncle Jameson to some home in a few weeks. We got our flights to go home and see him later on. I'm so excited for the holidays. I just went to a witch party and got all our decorations out. I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS and all the traditions that we are starting to shuffle through.

My biggest fear is that I"m ruining my kids... SO I DEFINITELY understand what you mean! GOod thing they are so cute :)
Oh you are not alone in the parenting woes!! Every kid is different, but every kid is hard. You'll get through this and she'll grow out of whatever it is, and in 6 months you'll be like, "wow, you are so pleasant now!" haha. You guys are having so much fun!! Love the fair! And I get a kick out of Devin being called a city-slicker....that is hilarious. Bet he really wants a truck, though. :)
Looks like you guys are having some fun there. Did you cut your hair? It looks shorter? I wonder sometimes too how I'm messing my kids up. I made Gage afraid of spiders cuz I'm afraid. All of my kids have similairities, but more differences... that's what makes parenting interesting. I miss you and need to call you soon.
