Boise Trip

I was so excited to go home.  I think that is why the drive wasn't so bad and I had a lot of patience!  I couldn't get enough of the town and family.  It changed a ton every time I go - just like the people.  We did a lot playing outside.  We did a few golfing games that wasn't too surprising when I came in close to last!  Still fun!  We also went over to the Thompson's pool.  It felt humid but was so green so I soaked up the greenery and beautiful weather.  I took Caleb to Mongolian like always.  It is more and more fun to talk with him.  He is pretty funny and says a million more words than he did last summer!
The cousins played so well together - all 3 of them!  Once I came into the front room and they were pretend reading the scriptures.  At first Brynlee and Ella played a ton together but then it became the mischievous twins of Teddy and Ella.  They would laugh at each other's jokes and were pretty destructive!  They broke one of mom's glass dishes one morning.  I am sick about the details cause it was by her beautiful piano so I will spare the details.  But they were so fun to see in nursery together.  I'm sure they drove the nursery teacher crazy!  It was so fun for me to go into primary with my mom and do a pioneer day singing time!  I played the guitar around a pretend fire place - my mom is so creative.  I had to go through all her files as usual to get more ideas on everything I'm into right now.  This time she was cleaning out closets and we took home some fun games and stuff.  I also got to copy the Shaw family history.  I need a few more copies of stuff but love that I can start focusing on Devin's family history!
We took a day to go to Roaring Springs.  It was really fun and I was once again amazed at Brynlee's courage and Teddy's fear!  I'm sure it is their ages but they had a BLAST at the kiddy pool with uncles and especially Tyler.  It made the cost worth it.
One of the nights we went to spider man at a midnight showing.  It was so fun to be with everyone without kids!
For pioneer Day we went to the stake center and had breakfast, horse rides, blow up toys and snow cones.  It was really fun to see all my friends.  I had a bunch of my high school friends come over one evening and got to catch up with almost everyone in town.  I LOVED seeing everyone's kids and how they are interacting with everyone.  It is like mini me's running around.  Everyone looks so happy and it was so good to hear that they are all doing well.  Almost the same day we had a bunch of the cousins in town come over too and I usually revert to a shy Nicole but it is only because they are so fun to talk to!  I feel so at home with my cousins.  Once again it was good to hear how good they are all doing.  I may live away but when I get out of my own bubble and come visit people I realize how small my world is and become a lot more sensitive and caring w others.  I did a lot of shopping and thanks to grandma, grandpa and caleb for watching the kids a few times!  The girls took a relaxing trip to the new Village.  It is so gorgeous and really fun.  It was one of the times I really missed Devin.  Oh yeah, this whole trip was without him and kind of hard to not be making these memories without him.  One of my favorite memories was going to the temple with mom and dad to see the third temple movie and then going to get some ice cream with them.  Maybe it's the spoiled child in me but I love spending time with them.  Oh I miss it even more just typing this up.  It would be so fun to be closer although I know the Lord wants me to be in the situation I'm in.
