There are a few things we can count on when we move. #1 Devin realizes how much kitchen and white binders I have. #2 we get on our bikes and explore everything around us. #3 we adapt to our surroundings well- finding new friends, doctors, schools and church callings. I love how resilient the kids have been. Minus Teddy when we moved to Harker Heights. He threw some of the worst tantrums I've ever seen but 6 months later he grew out of them and started communicating. Moving to Georgetown was such a smooth transition that it confirmed our decisions once again.
We have lobed being so close to Austin. Our favorite spot is probably the dog park (Zilker Park) but we have biked downtown and San Gabriels Park too. I think we biked to the dam which is a 10 mile bike ride!I loved taking the picture of Brynlee practicing the piano with her goggles on. I have the exact same picture when I was her age. And Teddy a few days later was trying to hurry through his chores with his goggles on to go swim. The weather is warming up and the rain started coming but the kids have been living in the pool. Rain or shine they have really enjoyed it.
I think my sunbeam calling need to be documented. I love these kids to the moon and back. Devin was quickly called into the Elders Quorum presidency which is a nice break for the last decade in YMs.
Although the kids are still little enough that their friendships take a little push or phone call to the mom, they have really enjoyed jumping into their different classes. I just hope they find some good friends. Teddy has a bunch of girls his age.
My number one favorite thing is when I get a good hug or cuddle. Teddy always asks for a hug and I love how willing he is to admit when he is sad and that a hug will quickly fix it!
That tricky leprechaun came again and although dad and the kids came up with a tricky trap he escaped and left behind some green treats.
And most days the kids are completely worn out from school and activities and sometimes some swimming. We usually eat around 6 when dad comes home and then start going to bed at like 7 or 8. Then up at 6:30 or 7 to start the day again.
