Port Aransas RV camping

I don't think we knew what we were in for when we decided to camp on the beach in Port Aransas for Memorial Weekend.  It was insane and so so fun!  First off, I had to go pick up our rental RV that we got in Devin's truck with all 3 kids.  All they had was their biggest one which was 31 feet.  It was huge and I made it home without an accident but man was I nervous the whole time!  Later I found out that Devin asked all the girls in morning huddle to pray for me driving his truck with a trailer :)!

We went with the Staleys and they had a few hiccups getting down there but Devin as usual knew how to fix it and we continued on to the beach.  We camped at Mustang Island and then took our generators (cause, you can't camp in TX without AC!) down to the beach.  It was unbelievable.  We drove miles and miles of trailers 2 and 3 deep camping till we finally found an opening for us.  We joined the thousands and thousands of people camping that weekend.  There were the biggest trucks with huge texan flags boulted to their truck just dragging down the beach all day long.

The kids completely entertained themselves the whole time.  I don't know why it is so rewarding to watch my kids play with Brittany's kids.  I guess its the circle of life kind of thing.  We found a sacrament at a local LDS church and enjoyed a good fast and testimony meeting.  We also took the ferry home one of the trips into Corpus Christi.  One of the trips was to go and see a huge battleship they have docked for a museum.  The kids loved it but I decided that tights spaces, steep stairs and rocking wasn't in the cards for me as a career!  It was so neat to see all the relics though!
Devin created a sand castle master piece with a huge tunnel going through the middle.

Brynlee was the boogie board queen.  The beaches in Texas are perfect for it.  It is shallow for a long time and warm water.  She boogie boarded all day long.  Teddy was in and out of the water and mostly exploring.  Jaxon was honestly in the trailer the majority of the time.  Either napping or eating in his high chair.  He has a great temperament added to his endless stomach and good sleeping habits.  One of the nights was rough with him though!
