2014 Christmas

After traveling so much in Oct there was nothing I wanted more than to stay home for the holidays.  It is sad to not have family around though.  I missed it.  I was pretty excited to get a babysitter and go to the office party.  These ladies have all been working at the office for 5-20 years and have traditions that we were happy to participate in.  They eat a nice catered meal at the office after the last day of work.  Then they have an office white elephant and let me tell you - it was nothing short of a party.  Devin got all the girls fitted embroidered jackets.  In only 6 weeks Devin is of course making the girls laugh and doing goofy things.  They blew up a picture that he took of himself on one of the girl's phone and famed it as a gift.  But one of the funniest moments was when Devin opened his white elephant gift which was a chip and dale calendar!  Some of them really fought over it!
At home we were happy to welcome Elfy back and Brynlee taught Teddy the ins and outs of Elfy's reporting.  We decorate a tree from Home Depot which wasn't as fun as cutting our own down.  It ended up smelling moldy for about 3 weeks then died to a crisp.  We attended the ward party which was really fun.  Amazing food, program and Polar Express decorations.  This ward knows how to party.  We went to Saledo for their main street lighting.  They had a live nativity, horse carriages, food trucks, bands and dancing and every down town little shop was lit up and selling the cutest stuff.  We also went to the Lake Belton lights.  Miles of cool lights.  Christmas eve we went to the Mckinleys for their Ham dinner pajama party.  I found the strength to make some plates of goodies that we delivered to our (very few) friends.  We did Christmas bells and everyone opened their pajamas then took a picture.  So fun.  Christmas morning Devin and I once again woke up before the kids.  We waited for a bit while I got sausage rolls and breakfast going.  Then we opened gifts for what seemed like hours!  The kids were spoiled and had a blast.  It was really special to talk to Braiden who is on a mission in California.  Then that night we went over to the Wentz for a turkey dinner and games.  It was such a fun and busy day!
