This year's Christmas was low key. We just spent it with our family only and stayed home. I loved every memory we made but I gotta say - I wish I could have a do over. Our Christmas tree fell over (luckily no special ornaments broke), I burnt the ham and melted my beloved Grandma Shaw's hot pads to the bottom of my pan. I laughed through the every mishap this year! Brynlee learned a lot about Christmas this year which was sad for me but she was so sweet and helpful with her brothers. We got a store Christmas tree and decorated it. Jaxon likes to bang his head against the couch and his high chair so he did that for like 15 minutes and got into everything until we decided it was time for his nap! Teddy was a big helper for Dad with the lights but then got a little distracted with the Christmas 3D glasses we have. Brynlee and Teddy then got into the ornaments. They put up all the non breakable ones on the bottom. We went to the Zilker Trail of Lights again this year. We took the wagon for Jaxon who cried a lot of the time. The kids wouldn't take a good picture for me but we did drink a lot of hot chocolate in our 60 degree weather. I had 2 ugly sweater parties. I went to Bochelli's concert with Ali Bowcut and I took Brynlee to the nutcracker for the second time. This time I took her out to eat first and gave her her first nutcracker. It was a really special night for both of us. Little known to me she read the book before and her class watched the movie so the whole time she was telling me what was coming or how the ballet was different from what she studied. Christmas Eve was like 70 degrees so we went to San Gabriel and rode our bikes. Then came home to a dinner and the nativity. Devin and I went to bed early this year after a quick jump in the hot tub and Christmas morning was magical. Teddy came in yelling, "He came! He came! He came!" It was a small Christmas but we still felt spoiled. Devin picked out his gun and I picked out my new matching pots. The kids got a bunch of small toys and a nerf bow and arrow. The grandparents spoiled the kids as usual. We went to church and I played for 3 musical numbers and the organ. We snuck out though to go home and catch the last 30 minutes of Caleb skyping with the family. Then we had a family skype with each family and Devin went to work the next day!
