Once again I couldn't get the whole family to match with a theme. As usual Devin was a farmer and I was a witch. Brynlee opted for a Shopkin, Teddy was spider man and I found the most adorable jail costume for Jaxon. His arm sleeves had tats on them. He got a lot of comments on his outfit!! We started the week off at some friends house and found a coral snake. Yikes! Then I had my witch party with a bunch of girls. Then I went to a fundraiser - bunko for babies. It was really fun and inspired me to join a local charity/group called MOPS. A church family invited us over to their house for a Halloween party. Both schools had costume parades. Teddy was just beaming the whole time. If anyone commented on his "muscles," then he just nodded and would flex like the muscles were his! Brynlee asked her friend Brandy to go to trunk or treat with us at the church. They had a horse the ride in the parking lot. Teddy was on it right away. It was a chili cook off. I decided to make Devin proud and used some of his venison in my chili. Then I was nervous for the taste so I basically added every meat in my fridge and guess what.....we won the contest! Brynlee has a parade at her school and a really cool "under the sea" book fair, dodge ball tournament and trunk or treat night. Teddy loved seeing all the costumes and Jaxon was crying and yelling the during the whole parade. We drove to the Villages to trick or treat. It was so crowded that it was hard to find a parking spot. Teddy lasted about 30 homes and then just wanted to play on the playground. Brynlee could have gone all night. They both came home with SO MUCH CANDY. Brynlee traded for the KitKats and Snickers. Teddy just wanted all the succors. Jaxon experienced his first twizzlers (candy for that matter) and you should have seen his fit when he realized it was all gone! He had the reddest face from the candy! The kids ate it once a day for a few weeks and then lost interest, mom and dad picked through it slowly to and I finally just chucked it right before Christmas!
